Fireball spotted in sky over Lincolnshire and Yorkshire

What appears to be a meteor was seen in the skies above Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire.

The fireball was captured on a number of cameras as it passed overhead just after 17:30 GMT on Monday.

According to the Royal Observatory, a meteor is a piece of space debris that burns up as it enters the earth’s atmosphere creating a “shooting star”.
